    Become a School Nurse!
    Posted on 12/07/2015

    Hi Kimball Community,

Are you a nurse, or know someone who is?  Out of all of the types of nursing, school nursing is consistently ranked as #1 in job satisfaction. Why? For starters, the schedule is great: school nurses only work 9 to 10 months a year, have weekends and evenings off, and a have fall and spring vacation. Furthermore, we are a nurse-led organization, meaning our bosses thoroughly understand school nursing from our perspective. We are quite autonomous in our day-to-day work, but also have a wonderfully supportive network of 60+ other nurses to call for support, along with monthly meetings. Most importantly, we get to work in our communities, and make meaningful relationships with our adorable patients and their families. Check out this link:

Please don’t hesitate to contact me with questions about school nursing. I would love to talk to you about the job.
